I have a new computer with a 512GB SSD drive that shipped with the following 7 partitions:

The first and terminal partition show as unallocated and do not even show up under the Windows Disk Management utility. See below for my Disk Management information: It only shows 4 partitions, not seven, for some reason unknown. This is disruptive to me.

My goal is to merge partitions then I only have one master C: volume that is accessed by default. Is information technology possible to merge all of the unallocated volumes as well every bit the Information D: drive into the Bone (C:) volume?

And what is the 499 MB Recovery partition used for? It shows it equally being empty. I can not extend the C: book using Disk Management because I tested and I shrunk Volume D: it ends up creating unallocated volumes that deceit exist extended on to the C: volume.

I am afraid to utilise the third party Easus Partitioning master as it seems like information technology may create fifty-fifty more than unallocated and unuseable volumes.

PLEASE Assist if Anybody HAS Whatever INFORMATION!

This is no different than going through Administrative Tools. On my new Surface Book with 1TB SSD, the built-in 'Shrink Volume' option provides me with simply 4322 MB of recoverable space. ****, this is my second MS figurer (Surface Pro three was showtime) and that characteristic didn't work either! Can't Microsoft become something simple like this right?

What do I practice now, just utilize a unmarried segmentation? I usually like to keep my data separate from the system deejay only you're making it frustratingly impossible!

I reformatted D drive so I could extend C drive. C drive is not allowing the "Extend Book" choice. I want to put the D drive data into the new C bulldoze. How do I resize my C drive?

Hi,

You lot can use the Disk Management tool to resize the partitioning on your C bulldoze. To do this, follow these steps:

Open Deejay Direction.
On the lower part of the Disk Management window, correct-click on Information (D:) and select Compress Book... from the options.
In the field provided in the Shrink dialog box, enter the amount of space by which to shrink the disk and click Compress.

Note: If you want to classify 100 GB to bulldoze C:, yous demand to put 100000 on the field provided.
This will create an Unallocated infinite as shown on the epitome below.
On the lower part of the Disk Management window, right-click on (C:) and select Extend Volume... from the options.
Click Next > on the Extend Volume Wizard window.
Click Next > to classify the space you've created.
Click Finish.
Restart your computer and check the new space on your C: drive.
